For practice registered patients, many conditions can be dealt with quicker online.
Practice has introduced Online consultations and there is no login required. This is a quicker way for our patients to contact their GP practice without having to wait on the phone or take time out to come into the practice. Using a smartphone, tablet or computer, you can contact your practice about a new problem or an ongoing issue. You can ask questions or tell your GP about your symptoms. The practice will ensure your contact is dealt with by the right person in the team, helping ensure you are served as quickly and appropriately as possible. Sometimes this will mean you will need a phone call with the GP or nurse, or an appointment at the practice, and this will be informed as usual. All requests are responded to by the next working day.
Simply click on this Link and in the search bar type the symptoms or query that you have. This will produce a series of choices and forms. Click on the relevant form and submit it.
The Practice will aim to action the online consultation forms within 2 working days (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays). Please note this does NOT MEAN that you will receive a call during this period. Once your form has been actioned, you will get a text message to inform you when you telephone consultation will take place. Please do not ring the surgery unless you want to cancel your telephone consultation. Please make sure you are available on the phone number you have provided for the Clinician to make contact with you. If you miss your call, YOU WILL NEED TO RE-SUBMIT A NEW ONLINE FORM.
All online consultation forms submitted by patients are directly and securely linked to Shrewsbury Road Surgery and come into our clinical system . These forms are then picked up by our staff who will distribute the form to the appropriate Clinician to action.
If you have difficulty in completing the form our reception staff will be able to assist.
NOTE: Online consultations are an alternative service – it is still possible to do other things on the practice website such as seeing test results and your medical record, ordering a repeat prescription or booking an appointment.

Patients can use Patient Access to:
- Order repeat prescriptions online
